It Starts With Us by Colleen Hoover

Lily and her ex-husband, Ryle, have just settled into a civil coparenting rhythm when she suddenly bumps into her first love, Atlas, again. After nearly two years separated, she is elated that for once, time is on their side, and she immediately says yes when Atlas asks her on a date.

But her excitement is quickly hampered by the knowledge that, though they are no longer married, Ryle is still very much a part of her life—and Atlas Corrigan is the one man he will hate being in his ex-wife and daughter’s life.

Switching between the perspectives of Lily and Atlas, It Starts with Us picks up right where the epilogue for the “gripping, pulse-pounding” (Sarah Pekkanen, author of Perfect Neighbors) bestselling phenomenon It Ends with Us left off. Revealing more about Atlas’s past and following Lily as she embraces a second chance at true love while navigating a jealous ex-husband, it proves that “no one delivers an emotional read like Colleen Hoover” (Anna Todd, New York Times bestselling author)

Hachette Australia Books

We are excited to announce that Hachette has acquired two brand-new thrillers from global bestselling author Colleen Hoover, as well as Too Late, her previously independently published psychological suspense. Simon & Schuster has also bought two new standalone Colleen Hoover novels for publication in 2024 and 2026. So between us you’ll get your Colleen Hoover romance and suspense fixes for the next five years!

Verity by Colleen Hoover

I’d give it a 8/10 overall for story and characters but a 9/10 as a page turner! It’s deemed a “romantic thriller” I literally didn’t want to put it down because I had to figure out what was going to happen next!

I felt like each chapter had it’s own shocking event. Some disturbing scenes so be prepared for that. Also, I was a bit surprised by how graphic the “romance” scenes were BUT THE ENDING…what an ending. I love it when a book surprises me.

Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover

Reminders of Him is a beautifully written masterpiece and by far #ColleenHoover ‘s best work. I felt a soulful connection with her character, Kenna. This book was heartbreakingly sad, filled with love and all the feels. It’s not simply a romance novel, but delves deeply into loss, hope and forgiveness. It was easy to relate to the characters. I felt as though I was living in the book with a loving close-knit family, each with their own struggles and loneliness.

I felt compassion and empathy for each character, which is rare. Usually I would side with one character. This book was a page turner. CoHo’s style of switching from Kenna to Ledger’s point of view kept the story interesting. There are also letters written by Kenna to Scotty which made it unique. I find some books pretty boring when I’m stuck in one person’s head the whole time.

This story kept me guessing. The most impactful part is towards the end when the letter to Scotty is revealed and readers find out what happened on the night of the tragedy. Be prepared with lots of tissues.

I rate #RemindersofHim 5 stars. It is now the top 20 most read and most sold books on Amazon chart. I’m obsessed with Colleen Hoover’s books. I’ve read ?? ???? ???? ??, ???????? 9, ????? ???????, ????? ????? and ??????. All of them are masterpieces and fulfilling reads. All of them added pieces of their souls to me. There are many well-written lines that will stick with me for some time. Well worth reading.

Colleen Hoover First of all, Its not a review

I’m just sharing my thoughts after reading the book more than once. If I had to say one line about the book, I would have said that its not everyone’ genre. It is purely a domestic and romantic novel.

The story begins with our protagonist Lily sitting on a rooftop and looking down from that twelve storied building. Thinking about how her abusive father died and what she has done in the funeral. She met her soulmate,Ryle, that night on that very rooftop. Story progress as their love devolves over time.

This novel uses cinematic technique for more than once- how Lily saw her father abusing her mother, how she used to be angry with her mother for tolerating her father, how her father always stopped after seeing her, how she met her teenage lover atlas, everything!

The main point of the story was how Lily find herself in her mother’s position even after marrying the love of her life, her soulmate. How she finds herself in positions where she realizes its never easy to end a marriage, how she hate and love the man of her life simultaneously, and most importantly how she gained the courage to leave the man she loved with everything and how she was capable enough to run a business all by herself. In a nutshell, how strong a women can be.

My most favourite line from this novel is when Lily said – “For better, for worse? Fck.That.Shit “Actually this line shows the ultimate strength of a women who overcome the fear of being alone, leaving her husband, her soulmate, her love and the fear of starting over!

Hope I didn’t spoil the story much

I did not expect these ARCs to come so soon! I just turned in final edits yesterday . EXPECT MISTAKES IN THESE EARLY COPIES, PEOPLE. FYI, these are called ARCs which stands for Advance Reader’s Copy. Sometimes when I call a book an ARC, readers ask what that is. A lot of you know already because you collect them.

They’re early versions of a manuscript, so there are sometimes editing mistakes and small changes from the final manuscript, like they might be missing some details an author goes back and adds in a later editing draft. They’re used for marketing. In my case, I get this one box and these have to last me until release day in January, so I use them for giveaways and the publisher sends copies out for marketing.

But sometimes the publishers put the ebook ARC on @netgalley. I’ll try to post more info about how to sign up for ARCs if I can figure it out because some of you ask about that and I never know the answer. In the meantime, I need to go choose winners for the two ARCs I gave away last week. Also, I don’t know if it’s ARCS or ARCs or arcs, and until I saw the sticker on the book that said Advance Reader’s Copy, I honestly thought ARC stood for Advance Review Copy.

I think we should start calling them A Rough Copy. Cuz technically that’s what mine are . Thanks for reading this entire book-length status. If you made it this far, comment below and I’ll choose a winner to win one of these ARCs ARCS arcs ???
